TYPE SPECIMEN BOOK

A type specimen book demonstrates the range of a typeface, applied to headlines, and text in a variety of sizes. I selected Hermann Zapf’s type, Optima, as it was so deeply rooted with the first comings of type as an art form. I wanted to take my book and depict his architectural influences through the simplistic nature between line and space.
